The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. This position requires a high level of technical skill, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. The Journeyman Plumber plays a key role in ensuring all plumbing work meets project specifications, codes, and company standards while collaborating with other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Install and repair plumbing systems for commercial properties, including piping, fixtures, valves, and water systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, engineering specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues or make necessary adjustments.
- Perform water and pressure testing for inspection approval.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and complete maintenance or repair work as needed.
- Collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate project schedules and maintain workflow.
- Mentor and guide apprentices to promote trade skill development and quality work practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by following company and OSHA safety standards.
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum (2) years of commercial plumbing experience required
- Experience with large-scale plumbing systems in commercial or industrial settings preferred.
- Familiarity with local plumbing codes and regulations required.
- Journeyman license required.
- Willing to train in additional trade certifications such as equipment licensing, First Aid, and CPR.
